If you don’t chances are they will hang up on you before you can even realize it. That’s why preparation and a calm attitude is absolutely vital to making big strides with sales prospecting.
Deep breathing, calming exercises, and meditation are other techniques that sales people can use to be less fearful when the cold-call. These techniques work well for those that are comfortable doing them. Even while on the phone, deep breathing can be practiced. Normal routines can be carried out while breathing in this way. This should not create any kind of concern, because a lot of people do not pay any attention to the breathing patterns of other people.
