Tips When Upgrading Your PC
Nowadays, it’s very common to change computers or laptops every 2 years or so. The damage has been made ever so regular that people spendthousands not knowing that they could have saved hundreds more and get to keep their old PC, but still running better than ever. Here are some of the tips I’ve discovered on how to properly maintain your computer without the need of a professional or surpluscash.
1. Check the current condition. First of all, you need to assess the condition of your computer to determine which aspects you still need to upgrade or replace. In some cases, you may be surprised to find that all parts are still working quite well, so you can still use it without any problems for several months or years. Check how the computer runs and how immediatelyprograms and applications can be opened. You should also consider the speed when opening files and folders.

What Would An IBM Sun Byout Mean For Their UNIX Servers?
The rumour that IBM are apparently offering $6.5 billion to take over Sun Microsystems has shaken the world of IT. Such massive consolidation hasn’t been seen since the poorly thoughtout buyout of Compaq by HP. Although IBM and Sun have long fought in the enterprise UNIX space, this deal would actually make a lot of sense to both companies. Let’s have a look at the problems that such a deal could bring to their UNIX product lines.
IBM market their POWER based machines running AIX at the high end, and x86 machines running Linux at the low and mid range. Sun have the excellent UltraSPARC T2 machines at the low end, along with x86 boxes, and SPARC64 machines at the high end. Linux is an offering on their x86 kit, but Solaris is the UNIX of choice.

Different Formatting In The Same Cell In Microsoft Excel
When formatting text within an Excel worksheet, you have the choice of working at the cell level or at the text level. If you wish to work at the cell level you simply highlight one or more cells and choose your format settings. Any formatting that you choose will then apply to all text within the cell or cells.
For example, if you wish to change the font size of your data in Microsoft Excel, you can of course use the drop-down menu next to the font name and choose one of the preset sizes. Another method of changing the size is to use the Grow Fond and Shrink Font buttons located on the right of the font size. These two buttons simply use the same preset sizes available on the preset size drop-down. Having activated the font size text box, you can also use the cursor keys on your keyboard to move through different sizes. Yet another method is to enter a particular size then press the enter key. When you do so, you are permitted to enter decimals, such as 10.5.

Custom Lists And Autofill In Microsoft Excel
Excel’s AutoFill feature relies on the program’s ability to recognize patterns in the data that you enter. For example, if you type “Week 1″ in a cell, you can have the program automatically fill in “Week 2″, “Week 3″, etc. by using the AutoFill handle. This is located in the bottom right of the cell. As the cursor moves over it, the cursor changes appearance to a plus sign (+). When it does so you simply click, hold, drag in any direction and Excel will pick up the pattern and extrapolate it to create automatic data entries.
Whenever you use the AutoFill handle Excel displays the AutoFill Options drop down menu just below the last cell which has been automatically generated. If the program has not entered the correct data, you can choose one of the entries in the AutoFill Options to tell it what you actually meant it to do. For example, if you choose Copy Cells, you simply get an exact copy of what was in the original cell.

Can You Fix A Slow Computer? – Important Info
When you have a computer with a corrupt registry, you are experiencing a number of problems, one of them usually being computer freezes after standby. There are other problems as well, such as delays on start up and shut down, random times when the computer just bogs down, and web surfing that seems to take forever.
Let’s look at what the registry is, and why it causes you problems. The registry is a database that Microsoft created for Windows, with the purpose of storing all kinds of information that is required for the computer to run. Windows references the registry whenever the computer user makes a request of the system. New files are constantly being added to this large database, not only when you add new hardware or software, but also whenever you go to a new web page. Because the registry is constantly getting bigger, it eventually reaches its breaking point where it just gets too large, and other applications slow down.

Adobe Dreamweaver Versus The Mighty Xhtml
When Microsoft released Office 2007, Microsoft FrontPage was conspicuous by its absence. Its place has been taken by Microsoft Expression Web, a product which clearly aims to take some of Dreamweaver’s huge share of the web design market. For once Microsoft finds itself playing the role of underdog and is sensibly adopting some of the tactics used by Adobe in gaining their dominant position in web design software.
Expression Web is part of Expression Studio, which also includes Expression Design a graphics tool which focuses on the creation of web interfaces. The full version of Expression Studio also includes Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition. Although Expression Studio is by no means a direct competitor to Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft are clearly aiming to create a solution for professional web designers similar to the one available from Adobe. So, how good is Expression web and will it enable Microsoft to make serious inroads into Adobe’s share of the professional web development market?

Important Info – Forget The Macro Recorder With Excel Programming Courses
Most people’s first exposure to Excel VBA involves recording a macro. As the user performs a series of steps (for example opening a workbook going to a particular worksheet, copying some data, etc) Excel faithfully records each step by creating the necessary VBA code. Each time the user runs the macro, the steps are replayed exactly as they were recorded.
Recording macros is great for really simple tasks such as producing a strait-forward report. However, there are distinct limitations to this approach. Firstly, because Excel plays back the steps just as they were originally performed, recorded macros are notoriously slow.
