The Results Of Using Steroids
I grew up in Cleveland Ohio watching Browns football. I had the privilege of watching Lyle Alzado play for the browns for a few years. He was an excellent player and seem to be a good guy off the field. I will never forget when it became know that not only had he used steroids but was suffering from brain cancer. Lyle Alzado maintained that the cancer was a result of the steroids he had used. He died at the age of 43.
The steroid subject is not going away. We as adults need to make our voices heard. We need to let organized professional athletic association know that we disapprove of athletics using steroids. That we do agree with drug testing. But more importantly we need to speak to our young athletes and let them know the results of using steroids. Is the temporary glory worth future of misery? Is it worth a shorten life span. If Hank Aaron could do it without steroids then so can the athletes of the future.
