Looking Good With Health and Fitness
Keeping fit and looking great can be a rather tedious and sometimes boring routine that lasts as long as you do. Day in and day out you may feel that you have to groom, feed and exercise your body meticulously, but in all honesty this can be quite a bore if you don’t add variety to your health and fitness routine.
But strive we must if we are to preserve that great body and face that we’ve worked so hard to achieve, After all, it is worth it. When we feel fit and healthy and look good too you get a natural high. Your confidence levels soar and you feel vitalised and invigorated, however, for some this process is not quite as simple.
Fitness and Exercise! This term is often the key to physical greatness. To attain and preserve a great body, there is always exercise involved. Whether you’re a man or a woman though will and often does dictate exactly what exercises you embrace or find most suitable.
Unless you are a power athlete, a woman for example, often doesn’t care to look big and bulky. Most females prefer a slim, yet toned body that expresses their femininity and accentuates their curves.
Men on the other hand commonly feel the need and prefer to have excellent muscle definition and/or muscle mass. This idea dates back as far as time.
We all know that a majority of women prefer a strong mate with a well proportioned physique, so to achieve that great body you must adopt the proper fitness routine. If you’re looking to lose body fat and tone up, you should at the very least consider a decent cardio program and stick to it.
This is in addition in addition to a light weight training program.
Some people however you have no desire to drop body weight and have enough trouble keeping what they already have. These are people with a high metabolic rate and they tend to eat whatever they like (much to the envy of us mere mortals).
People in this category will need a slightly different health and fitness regime and will need to work with heavy free weights and eat plenty of protein, carbs and healthy calories. This is the way to pack on lean muscle and acquire that great body you’re looking for.
Since your weight training will be more severe and cause more damage to the muscles, you’ll also require more rest time than normal. For example, if you’re doing 14 sets of four different chest and triceps exercises, give it a week before you work these muscles again.
Trying to rotate your exercise around different muscle groups is another way of resting so you don’t feel you’re going backwards.
Also look at different ways to relieve boredom and make your exercise more enjoyable. Many people enjoy listening to music on their MP3 players and even self help audio books are becoming popular to listen to during exercise so you can literally learn while you burn.
And finally, remember to rest plenty and consume good healthy food with enough calories and protein for muscle repair.
