Tips On Dog Training
A puppy needs special dog training in order to learn the all skills it needs. It can be hard for a new dog owner to get past the puppy stage. Here are 7 tips to help train your puppy.
By the way Sit Stay Fetch (SitStayFetch Review) is one of the more popular dog training products on the internet and for good reason. The 186 page book is broken down into different sections, each one dealing with a different aspect of dog ownership. Each section is broken down into 5 or 6 subsections and a review of that particular section. The review is particularly nice as it condenses the important aspects of each section onto one page for easy reference. That’s not to say that skipping to the end of each section is the best way to utilize this book. There is a wealth of information contained in each section as well as case studies for particular doggy problems (aggression, barking, chewing, leaping on furniture, leaping on people, etc.) The author also does a good job of supporting the product by providing a free newsletter that contains more tips for solving dog problems. Granted, you do not need to read every chapter in order to address a particular problem, but it is nice to see that a just about every common dog problem is addressed. Back to our tips, some most useful things to know beforehand are:
Determine How Much Money You Have Available To Spend: This is important because you can easily waste money with certain dog training methods. Hiring a personal trainer for example can cost $75 an hour. That is a bit much.
Choose A Location In Your Home To Train: This can be outside or inside. It can be in any room. This is done so that whenever your dog enters this room, it will know that it is training time and that it should follow your commands. This made it easier to train my dog.
Make Your Puppy Socialize: If a puppy reaches adulthood and hasn’t had much contact with other dogs, it may not react well to them. The dog may bark or even bite other dogs. You do not want this to happen so help your puppy by taking it to the park to see other dogs or to a friend who also owns a dog.
Use Positive Reinforcement: Puppies love treats. They will do whatever they can to get those treats. So, make them do what you want, and give them a treat when they do it. This will help their mind connect good habits with rewards.
Do Not Let Your Dog Chew On Anything: If you let the puppy chew on anything it wants, then it may do that in adulthood as well. This is not desirable. Chewing on some things can also be harmful to the dog .
