Life Transition at the Speed of Light

Making any kind of life transition, whether it be in your job or at home is stressful at best, and devastating at its worst. Most of us want to move on as quickly as possible.

Unfortunately, it’s those times when we most need a helping hand that we’re bound and determined to go it along. We are the rugged individualists - the lone wolves who feel that there is strength in slogging through things on our own. Going to see a good motivational speaker might help, but often we need more.

But what usually happens is that we keep making the same mistakes. Why? Simply put, it’s because all we can see is what we’ve seen before. We look at present day experiences through the filter of our past experiences. And, unless someone points these things out to us, we generally (but not always) can’t see it on our own.

This is why I say that I help people plow through whatever discomfort they’re presently experiencing at least 10 times faster than if they’d done it on their own.

I’ve talked a lot about mastermind groups (The Master Mind). This is where you’re working weekly with a group of like-minded supporters who can see what you can’t. But your mastermind group still isn’t a substitute for a good mentor or business coach. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the help of my coach. I don’t say this to convince you to call me (although I wouldn’t complain). I just believe so strongly in the power of two minds focused on the dreams of one.

We can’t see what we can’t see, but someone else - a coach or mentor - can see you through your life transition much faster than if you’d done it on your own. That’s just the way life works, like it or not. They can help point out when you’re stuck in the same kind of thinking patterns and beliefs that put you where you are, both positive and negative. They can help you strategize and create a plan. Then, they’ll help you stay true to your plan — and this is the ONE spot where most people fall flat. We lose momentum and stop… often just before we’ve succeeded (but we don’t know this).

Whatever life transition you’re facing, please don’t go through it alone.
