Inspiring Ideas On Guilt Busting Techniques For Working Mums

It is natural to feel elements of guilt from time to time when you are a working mum. Sometimes you feel that whatever you do, you are doing the wrong thing. If you have taken a decision to look after your children at home, you might feel that some people consider that you are not “pulling your weight” and contributing enough. Conversely, if you decide that you are going to return to your career after you’ve given birth, guilt arises here as well, as you think that some people criticise you for “abandoning” your children. Surely, you can’t win? You are not alone in feeling this way and rest assured that this kind of torment is quite usual; it might be a good idea for you to consider professional coaching? Thankfully, online coaching can help you focus on what is positive and what others in your position are doing and help you to prepare correctly for your life ahead.

If you have decided to resume a career or have decided to strike out on your own, establishing your own business, good for you! In either way, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with your decision and you need to realise this and be at peace. As a working mum, you may need to give yourself a good talking to, to help you realise that you have everything going for you and are doing a marvellous job, providing for yourself and for your family.

Whenever guilt arises, it can lead to confusion and this in turn can lead to negativity and depression. There is a danger that you do not know all the facts about your given situation. Come out of the darkness and understand all the facts, reducing your stress level to manageable positions. If you’re well-informed, you know what all the risks and opportunities are and are well placed to take a good, educated view of your position. Taking a concerted action and finding out all the facts will in turn give you internal strength and make you feel much better about your position.

Surround yourself with people who support you and who are positive. All those naysayers need to be in the far distance and better yet, you should creatively erase their contact details! If you surround yourself with a very important group of positive people, you can bounce off any challenges you might fear and will be a lot stronger as a result of this feedback. This is not to say that you should delegate all the problem-solving to them, quite the opposite. This is definitely a two-way street and by contributing to the value of the group proactively, you’re on the right track. Yet another valuable source of support for you can be found within online coaching.

Remember to travel light when you are getting ready for your big challenge. This means that you should get rid of anything that is not appropriate from the world all around you. Create a very positive workspace all around you, which is very important if you are working from home, have your own business or are telecommuting. You will be amazed how much more positive and focused you feel, when you have a clear environment all around you.
