Getting A Career Started As A Games Tester, And What You Need To Expect From This Surprisingly Tricky Career.

Here we’re going to investigate a job that will most definitely fascinate the geeks amid us – myself included – games tester. What could be more interesting than sitting playing games everyday, and then getting paid for it? To me, and I’m sure to lots of others, it looks like a dream come true. As someone who is currently searchin for New careers to take on, I decided to do some research into games testing as a job, to investigate if it’s something seriously worth contemplating along with my other Career ideas. I thought I ought to share the information I dug up on this career, to help anyone else contemplating what Careers they would like to do, to help present some helpful insight and perhaps aid you in making a decision.

First of all, a job as a games tester isn’t just exclusively playing games to see if they are fun or if people will like them. Your role is to play the game and try to create as many scenarios as doable in the levels, and generate reports on any bugs you find. This means playing through the levels in a thorough manner – a manner which lots of people may not have the persistence for. You must have an incredibly good eye for detail, and a lot of patience, and also the ability to put into words the faults you come across, and how they were created. These reports are utilised by the programmers, who will then need to go back through the coding and look for what exact line of code is setting off the error, so the more comprehensive and exact your report, the easier it is for them to accomplish their job. So, you will need to have a good standard of English for this role. You of course should be good at games – you are required to be able to complete and finish the levels. Also, as you are required to play through the levels thoroughly, it’s not just a case of working through the levels as quickly as possible – you need to view what happens when you investigate every nook and cranny, and try and recreate as many scenarios as possible that might be encountered by people playing the game through normally. It’s no good releasing a game where the character can drop through the floor if they step along a path in a certain way!

Some Information On Becoming A Teaching Assistant, And What You Should Expect To Get From This Somewhat Challenging But Fulfilling Role.

A Teaching Assistant is someone who aids a teacher within a class in many ways. There are a few different types and levels of teaching assistant Careers offered, and here we are going to check out some of them. I have done some research on becoming a teaching assistant as it has been one of my Career ideas for some time now, and I have also finished a course and gained a level two qualification. Here I want to share my own experiences and findings when looking for New careers related to this job, to see if I can assist people who are perhaps considering this amongst other Career ideas.

There are 3 levels to the Teaching Assistant qualification, each advancement providing you with a greater chance at getting a job. Only getting the level 1 qualification won’t give you much chance of acquiring a job as a teaching assistant – make sure you aim for at least the level 2 course, but always go for the level 3 course if possible. I had to do the level 2 course as at the time I undertook the course as the level 3 was not offered in my area. I do often see advertised Teaching Assistant roles that only require level2. Level 3 however, will of course enhance your chances, open up access to jobs that demand level 3, and also support a better salary.

Different Factors That Can Affect Career Choices You Make, And Things You Should Contemplate When Making A Career Choice.

There are loads of things which can affect what Career ideas you could have. Some things are beyond your control, whilst others are down to your individual wants and needs. Regardless of whether you are switching Careers or considering New careers, there are so many distinct factors to take into account it can occasionally be a bit disheartening trying to take everything into account. Here I am going to pick out just a small selection of the aspects which can occasionally be a result of your own actions, and occasionally a result of things outside of your control.

One such thing is the links you have with family and friends, either in your existing career, or existing location. Such ties can impact what Career ideas you could have, as perhaps strong ties could prevent you from considering Careers which would need you to move away from your family and friends. If you are considering New careers completely this may not be such a huge problem for you – especially if you’re a young graduate hoping to explore the world. In some cases you could be hoping to get away from the people around you, and meet new people, make new friends, and start over! It’s extremely important that you take this seriously, as if you move away and you’re not prepared for it, it can adversely affect you. I know from experience – I was not ready to leave home for university, but as everyone around me was going I felt I had to do it, so I went… turned out I hated it, couldn’t stand being there, and had to come back after a measly 6 weeks. So that was a massive waste of cash. I am very much a family person, so if you are too you may not want to move too far. Some people I know aren’t worried by this – in fact a friend of mine could not wait to move away from his mother!
